but could also be a time eater. ?The good news however, is that the majority of real estate agents in the country, even those with strong sites, have not established a strong presence in
social media, so those who are getting active now are still at the head of the curve. ?The key is to build some knowledge, start on social media, and use it to success while still keeping on
top of everything else.

Understand Value
For agents who are focused on what will sell more homes, it can be hard to spend significant time doing social media, if there isn?t a guaranteed home sale at the end of the workload. ?Still,
with one billion?Facebook?users in the world, that is a huge audience. ?The value of social media is vast, with branding, networking, and SEO benefits just to name a few. ?It?s pretty simple:
once we see the value in something, it gets done, and that?s certainly the case with social media.

Be Prepared for Initial Challenges
It?s comical how many agents fall into two categories in regards to how they view the difficulty of technology and social media in particular: for some, social media seems like one more arm
of a great technology monster that could shut down your computer or eat you alive, and others, think that learning one more social media platform will be an absolute breeze. ?From our
experience, we have found that neither view is quite right. ?Even for the tech savvy, each version of social media has new hurdles to climb, for example, ?circles? have different?intricacies
on?Google?plus than ?friends? on Facebook. ?However, while there is a learning curve, there is information available and everyone can learn with effort.

Efficiently Participate
Once off the ground, efficiency is important to successful maintenance of social media for busy agents. ?It?s necessary to decide what social media platform to focus on. ?Another helpful tip
is to block out a set amount of time for social media each day to not go over or under the needed time to be successful. ?Even ten minutes a day, which is more than many Realtors are doing,
will produce results. ?Ten minutes a day??Everyone can find ten minutes right?
