This is a hard to impossible question to answer on? a forum like Zillow because many of the fees vary state to state.? in Michigan, for example, I would be shocked if the home inspection and appraisal fees topped $800.?It sounds like you are getting a loan.? If so, your lender is legally required to give you a "Good Faith Estimate" of all your closing costs and expenses...and pay for those expenses is they are more than a little over what they estimate.
They may not want to do?this if you haven't picked a home already.? In that case, show them a listing similar to what you are looking for and aske them to give you a "Good Faith Estimate" on that property.
